Hello! My name is Derin Akintide and I am a high school junior, passionate about studying the timeless stories of ancient classics. Literature and the humanities have always been favorite subjects of mine, and I love to read about the many myths of different civilizations. Through this blog and studies in college, I hope to uncover how ancient myths, epics and philosophical ideas continue to shape the understanding of the modern world. These blogs contain enduring themes such as identity, resilience, and humanity connecting voices of the past to the experiences of today. Whether you love classics as much as I do, or are simply curious about some of humanity’s most remarkable stories, I hope that you will enjoy my nuance of perspectives and meaningful conservation.
